We are striving for a world where all wildfires are fully extinguished at or near inception to preserve our national forests and air quality, leading to healthy people, healthy wildlife, and a healthy planet.
We envision a federally led fleet of aerial fire suppressant tankers made up of converted airframes and made-for-purpose aircraft.

About Fire Armada
The Fire Armada is a non-profit organization made up individuals and entities coming together with the goal of reducing the impacts of wildfires across the nation.

The Fire Armada will raise awareness about tactics that can be used to combat wildfires in their infancy, snuffing them out before they can get out of control.
Structured to be a complement to fire prevention tactics called out for in the US Forest Service’s ten-year plan, the Fire Armada seeks to inform Congress of the pitfalls of a one-path solution and highlight the need for an aerial armada, which is the basis of our concept.
The Fire Armada will develop a strategic plan for extinguishing wildfires that have already started. Conceptually, the Fire Armada plan will include components of made-to-build aerial tankers and retired commercial and military aircraft that will be converted to air tankers.
The Fire Armada seeks to work in tandem with the USFS and other entities interested in preserving our blue skies.

Our goal is to raise awareness about the need for putting wildfires out as soon as possible, once started. We believe an armada of aerial vehicles that can douse a fire in its infancy with water or flame retardant is one of the most significant ways to prevent loss and life and property due to wildfires. Our strategic plan will inform Congress and the public about the benefits of developing a robust aerial armada and ways the plan might be accomplished.
